How much is Tapo Care, and do you need it?
Tapo Care prices in the US: Cloud (per device; 2 maximum) $3.49 a month, Cloud Advanced $11.99 a month ($119.99 a year) and Cloud Advanced AI $19.99 a month ($199.99 a year). Canadian prices are not published on the plan page we checked. Without a plan you keep live view, motion alerts and two-way talk; saved video: to a microSD card (up to 512 GB on supported models) or a Tapo hub; 24/7 recording works locally. Tapo publishes no Canadian Tapo Care prices on its public pages; its Canadian FAQ points to the app. No Canadian price was published on the page we checked; a blank cell means not published. What the plan costs over 3 years
Cloud plan fees only, for the cheapest tier that keeps cloud history at each device count; the yearly column uses three annual invoices where the tier is sold yearly.
