Which security cameras work without a subscription?
TP-Link Tapo, Wyze, Reolink, eufy, SwitchBot, Aqara, Lorex, Amcrest cameras record to a microSD card, built-in storage or a home hub with no subscription. Ring, Blink, Arlo, Google Nest cameras need a paid plan to save video: without one you get live view and alerts, but no recorded clips (Nest keeps a few hours of previews). Over three years a plan often costs more than the cameras.
